Florida Early Learning Council Board Members

Announcing the Florida Early Learning Council

We are excited to launch the Florida Early Learning Council – a local advisory board comprised of influential and established leaders across Florida who are united in their commitment to ensuring that Florida children are prepared to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.

Established under the leadership of Chanelle Pough, Executive Director of Florida Early Learning Corps, the Council was convened to elevate the organization’s statewide visibility and expand the organization’s reach into more Florida communities. “We’re extremely grateful for the expertise, counsel and resources our appointed board members will lend in support of our continued growth and expansion,” says Pough. “I’m excited about all that we will accomplish together to advance the mission and amplify Florida Early Learning Corps’ transformative impact across the state.”

The advisory board will focus on three key objectives:

Support the mission of Florida Early Learning Corps

Members will serve as dedicated champions and advocates for Florida Early Learning Corps both statewide and in their respective regions. Currently operating in Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Orange, Osceola and Volusia counties, Pough was intentional about curating a geographically diverse board to ensure representation from all the communities being served and prospected across the state.

Serve as a community sounding board

Board members will convene semi-annually and will participate in organizational fundraising events and activities to further promote Florida Early Learning Corps’ mission and advancement. In partnership with the Executive Director, the Florida Early Learning Council will provide guidance, counsel, and support to the program.

Facilitate strategic connections to opportunities

The local advisory board will help connect the organization to strategic media, public speaking, sponsorships, and networking opportunities. These connections will help tell the story of their impact and role in preparing over 9,000 students for kindergarten through an evidence-based, high-impact tutoring model.

Help us welcome our new council members
