Members of Reading Corps, Math Corps and Early Learning Corps work directly with kids in preschool through third grade to help them build fundamental literacy and math skills. Tutoring is a fun, rewarding experience and helps you build skills that are transferable to any career.
These positions are perfect for retirees and for college students who need to accommodate a busy class schedule. Tutors serve during school hours on weekdays and have the option of being on site three, four or five days a week.
Other benefits include:
- A stipend of $275 paid every 2 weeks (equivalent about to $19.25 per hour)
- $5,775 total for 300 hours of service starting in August 2023
- Up to $1,459 for tuition and student loans
- Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment
