Jodi worked in public and academic library settings for many years before being a stay-at-home parent, but she always had a side passion for tutoring reading. When her child had grown up, she was looking for something to do. There was a Reading Tutor in her child’s school who inspired her to apply!
“My child had a Reading Corps tutor for two years and I saw how much he was enjoying working with his students. Since I had a background in tutoring reading, I decided it was something I’d like to pursue as well.”
As a returning Scholar Coach, Jodi is most excited to seeing her students from last year continue to grow and excel and to meet her new students in the first-grade class. Jodi’s favorite part of service is getting to know each student and their different personalities.
