We know September is a ways off, but it is never too early to start planning for the year ahead! The 2021-22 Reading Corps and Math Corps application is officially open and we are looking for great people to help Minnesota kids build their skills and confidence.
With a vaccine now becoming available, we anticipate both children and tutors will return to schools next fall. After a year of stress, transitions and disruptions due to COVID-19, we know students will need extra support more than ever.
Are you or someone you know ready to make a difference? More than 1,500 tutors will be needed across Minnesota for the 2021-22 school year. Reading Corps and Math Corps offers great flexibility with a variety of weekly commitment levels and start dates in August, October and January. In addition to the satisfaction that comes with helping students succeed, tutors receive additional perks including a stipend, additional money for student loans or tuition and more.
Full-time Perks (35 hours/week) Include:
- A stipend of $750 paid every 2 weeks
- Up to $4,441 for tuition or student loans
- Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment
- Individual health insurance — Monthly premium 100% covered
- Child care assistance — Based on family size and income
