Reggie is an experienced educator and paraprofessional who was looking for a new way to gain experience with kids. Reading Corps was a perfect next step for him!
“I was seeking opportunities to expand my education portfolio in the public sphere,” he says. “Having a strong desire to pursue a career in education, I believed this would be a great opportunity to pursue relevant tutoring experience and a chance to develop my skills working with multiple age groups.”
In addition to gaining experience, Reggie plans on using AmeriCorps’ tuition assistance to help him pay for a master’s degree.
