We’re all in for kids.

Kids do better with personalized support. Our tutors work with pre-K to 8th grade kids in one-on-one or small groups to center on each student's needs. As a tutor, we give you all the training and ongoing coaching to ensure you're doing your best to help kids succeed!

Become a Tutor

Our programs are growing, because they work.

We train our tutors using the science of how children learn, and then put them to work on boosting literacy and math skills. Our history of results shows our approach makes a difference. In fact, Reading Corps has been recognized by the Library of Congress for best practices in literacy promotion. As an honoree, Reading Corps is just one of four organizations worldwide to be recognized in reading instruction and tutoring!

We know how kids learn
We want to see every kid starting school strong, reading well by 3rd grade, and ready for algebra by 9th grade. To achieve this goal, we train our tutors on the science of how kids learn!

We follow the evidence
By actively monitoring the latest literacy, math, and early learning research, we’re able to train tutors on leading-edge strategies that have the potential to offer immediate benefits for students.

We adapt based on data
Data is at the heart of our program models. Our tutors provide regular assessments to adjust and maximize results. Plus, we regularly engage in research and third-party evaluation to ensure the best outcomes for students and schools.

A student-centric support system.

Coaching is what makes our tutors so successful. Every tutor has an internal coach who provides day-to-day supervision, mentoring, and support. Tutors also meet regularly with a coaching specialist to discuss student progress, review assessments, and create targeted personalized intervention plans.
